Plan trips with Claude and ChatGPT

Trippy Days has an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, so you can plan trips in conversation with Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini. Your assistant can read your trips and, if you allow it, add and update plans. Every change shows up in Trippy Days on the web and in the app.

01 · Connect

Add Trippy Days to your assistant

You need a Trippy Days account. Sign in with email, Apple, or Google to create one.

    Add Trippy Days as a connector in your assistant:

    Claude

    1. 1. Open Trippy Days in the Claude directory

    2. 2. Click Connect

    ChatGPT

    Requires a paid ChatGPT plan (Plus, Pro, Business, or Enterprise).

    2. 2. Add a connector

    3. 3. Name: "Trippy" → URL: paste the MCP endpoint → Save

    Gemini

    Requires Google AI Pro (US) or Ultra.

Things to ask

  • “Show me the itinerary for my Japan trip.”
  • “Add our hotel booking to the Paris trip.”
  • “Create a dinner idea for each evening in Rome.”

To put stays, activities, and driving stops on the map, share a Google Maps link or let the assistant find one.

03 · Scope

What it can and can't do

Can

  • Create trips and see each day's itinerary
  • Add, edit, move, and reorder itinerary items
  • Add stays, flights, trains, and driving legs
  • Save research links and ideas for later
  • Track costs in any currency and split them

Can't

  • Search for or book flights and hotels
  • Take payments
  • Change who a trip is shared with

Trippy Days is for planning. Manage sharing and travelers in the app.

04 · Access

Permissions

The assistant only reaches trips you have access to, with the same view or edit rights you have in Trippy Days. You approve two permissions when you connect:

trips:read
View your trips, itineraries, bookings, research, and costs. Required to connect.
trips:write
Create, edit, reorder, and delete planning data. Every write action checks it.

Read, edit, and delete actions are separate tools. Delete tools are marked so compatible assistants ask you to confirm first.

05 · Disconnect

Remove access

Remove Trippy Days from your assistant's connector settings at any time. In Claude, that's Settings > Connectors. To have us revoke access on our side, email [email protected].
