Trippy Days (https://www.trippy-days.com) is a trip-planning app that helps you create detailed itineraries, explore travel ideas, share with friends, and sync with Google Calendar.. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
We collect information in these ways:
- Account information from Google sign-in. When you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information such as your name, email address, and profile picture. We use this to create and maintain your Trippy Days account.
- Trip content you create. This includes trip titles, dates, destinations, itinerary items, notes, costs, collaborator invites, uploaded attachments, and place details you save while planning.
- Google Calendar access, when you choose to use it. If you connect calendar export, we request access to your Google Calendar so we can create or update calendars and events for your trips. We use this access only to provide the calendar features you initiate.
- Third-party OAuth clients you authorize. Trippy Dayscan act as an OAuth provider for connected clients such as MCP tools. If you approve access, those clients may receive account and trip data according to the scopes shown on the consent screen.
- Usage and performance data. We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to understand aggregate traffic and performance. Session records may also include technical details such as IP address and browser user agent for security and authentication.
How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve Trippy Days
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure
- Save and sync your trip planning data
- Share trips with collaborators you invite
- Export trip schedules to Google Calendar when you request it
- Respond to support requests and protect against abuse
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the service:
- Service providers. We use infrastructure providers such as Vercel, Postgres database hosting, and Vercel Blob storage to run the app.
- Google services. We use Google sign-in, Google Places, Google Maps, and Google Calendar APIs when you use those features.
- Collaborators you invite. Trip data is shared with people you explicitly invite to a trip.
- Authorized OAuth clients. Third-party clients receive only the scopes you approve on the consent screen.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect users, the service, or the public.
Data retention
We retain account and trip data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
Your choices
- You can revoke Google Calendar access from your Google Account security settings at any time.
- You can revoke access for third-party OAuth clients from the consent or account settings screens shown in Trippy Days.
- You can contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable law.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Children
Trippy Days is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page.
