Privacy Policy

Trippy Days (https://www.trippy-days.com) is a trip-planning app that helps you create detailed itineraries, explore travel ideas, share with friends, and sync with Google Calendar.. Trippy Days is operated by DoggoDays LLC("we" or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We collect information in these ways:

  • Account information from Apple or Google sign-in. When you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information such as your name, email address, and profile picture. When you sign in with Apple, we receive an Apple account identifier, your email address (or a private relay address if you choose Hide My Email), and your name if you choose to share it the first time you sign in. We store the tokens Apple and Google issue so we can keep you signed in and, for Apple, revoke access when you remove Apple or delete your account. We use this to create and maintain your Trippy Days account. If you connect both, we link them to the same account.
  • Trip content you create. This includes trip titles, dates, destinations, itinerary items, notes, costs, collaborator invites, uploaded attachments, and place details you save while planning, plus any travel preferences you add to your account, such as dietary needs.
  • Conversations with AI features. If you use AI features in Trippy Days, we store your messages and the responses so you can pick up where you left off. Each conversation is visible only to you.
  • Payment and subscription information. If you buy a subscription, Stripe, our payment processor, collects your name, email address, payment details, and billing address to process the payment. We never receive or store your card number. We store only your Stripe customer ID and the status of your subscription, such as your billing period and when it renews or ends.
  • Google Calendar access, when you choose to use it. If you connect calendar export, we request access to your Google Calendar so we can create or update calendars and events for your trips. We use this access only to provide the calendar features you initiate.
  • Third-party OAuth clients you authorize. Trippy Dayscan act as an OAuth provider for connected clients such as MCP tools. If you approve access, those clients may receive account and trip data according to the scopes shown on the consent screen. When you connect an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT, trip data it retrieves or you share with it is also handled under that provider's privacy policy.
  • Usage and performance data. The iOS and Android apps send performance metrics, such as app startup and screen load times, to our mobile app delivery provider. Session records may also include technical details such as IP address and browser user agent for security and authentication.

How we use information

We use the information above to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve Trippy Days
  • Authenticate you and keep your account secure
  • Save and sync your trip planning data
  • Share trips with collaborators you invite
  • Export trip schedules to Google Calendar when you request it
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Answer requests you make to AI features in Trippy Days
  • Respond to support requests and protect against abuse

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the service:

  • Service providers. We use service providers for app and database hosting, backups, network delivery, file storage, and delivering and monitoring the mobile apps. They process information only on our behalf, to run the service.
  • Apple. We use Sign in with Apple when you choose it. Email sent to a private relay address is forwarded by Apple.
  • Google services. We use Google sign-in, Google Places, Google Maps, and Google Calendar APIs when you use those features.
  • Stripe. Stripe processes subscription payments, receives the payment and billing details described above, and emails your receipts and invoices. Stripe handles that information under the Stripe Privacy Policy.
  • OpenAI. When you use AI features in Trippy Days, we send your request and the trip content needed to answer it, such as itinerary items, places, notes, saved links, and travelers' names and preferences, to OpenAI, which generates the response on our behalf. We leave out the booking confirmation codes, costs, and email addresses saved in their own fields, but text you type into notes or your request is sent as written, so avoid including details you don't want shared. Under its API terms, OpenAI does not use this data to train its models and keeps it for up to 30 days to monitor for abuse before deleting it.
  • Collaborators you invite. Trip data is shared with people you explicitly invite to a trip.
  • Authorized OAuth clients. Third-party clients receive only the scopes you approve on the consent screen.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect users, the service, or the public.

Data retention

We retain account and trip data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You can delete your account and associated data in Account settings in the iOS or Android app, or on the web at www.trippy-days.com/account. Requesting deletion immediately signs you out on every device and revokes access for connected AI apps. You can cancel deletion within 30 days by signing in and choosing Restore account. Signing in alone does not cancel it. Trip calendars you exported to Google Calendar stay until then. After that, we permanently delete your account, sign-in methods, connected-app and calendar access, uploaded cover photos, and trip data. Trips you own are deleted for all collaborators, and you are removed from trips shared with you. We email you when permanent deletion is complete and retain your recipient email only until that confirmation is sent.

Conversations with AI features are deleted automatically within a day after 30 days pass without a new message, or sooner if you start a new chat, delete the trip, or delete your account.

Deleting your account also stops a web subscription from renewing. When your account is permanently deleted, we delete your customer record at Stripe; Stripe may keep transaction records it is required to retain by law.

Your choices

  • You can revoke Google Calendar access from your Google Account security settings at any time.
  • You can revoke access for a third-party OAuth client, such as an AI assistant, by disconnecting Trippy Daysin that client's settings, or by emailing us to revoke it for you.
  • You can contact us to request access or correction of your personal information, subject to applicable law.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Children

Trippy Days is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page.
